At the beginning it was by reading Tintin   then by dividing into sheets catalogues...

These simple sketches of the machines, in black and white, made me dreaming...

It was clear that one day, I will belong to this noble brotherhood of the Knights of the Road.
In my dreams I wined everyone on the spot and the girls were hung with my tennis shoes.

My very first beginnings were not more glorious

After the inevitable Solex, I begun to foam the roads, on Morini 50 DC.
In my small provincial town only and single motor bike was Jawa...

It was necessary to go in another city to 20 kms to find a core of pure and hard motorcyclists.
They were 4, rolled of English and I dribbled when I could not follow them in Morini.
As allowed it the law at the time I passed the motorbike licence all categories to 16 years completed.
On this subject not of motor bike-school, but a deal with the owner of Terrot 175 Cm3.
(Ready it me for the licence and as soon as I have it I bought your bike)
The examination: The tour of the place of the market by tightening the arms and a half-turn without posing
feet with ground. An inspector very old France gave me in 1969 the licence motor cycle by saying me:
" Young man the motor cycle is a sport and you showed your sporting qualities! "

One of the characteristics of this Terrot was the higher saddle passenger and a handle of maintenance.
Beautiful days arriving us partimes a friend and me towards the south, the such bad servant boys of the time.
Terrot was with end of breath, the consumption as well of gasoline as of oil was incredible!
The rod returned the heart in the valley of the Rhone and I sold it at a loss, well on, on the spot.

My budget did not enable me to buy new the so much coveted BSA BSA THUNDERBOLT
TRIUMPH T120 A opportunity arose: Triumph Bonneville passably tired...
I became a true roadrunner little time, a piston of Bonnie burst at the end of 6 months,
leaving me with foot the one hard season time of summer. With the autumn, new rich, I choose carefully
my new bike, a splendid Norton Commando 750cm3. .

It was a good mounting during 2 years. That transfered, that sections of life as a noble Knight with her!
Besides some problémes of lighting and oil leakages of all its casings, it was a very good motor bike.
Sold for the purchase of a car (VRP obliges), it put a term at my first life of motorcyclist.

Between my 2 lives of motorcyclist I spent the good time in wood with one 175 EP SUZUKI.

My second life of motorcyclist begun at 40 years, with the bought of a 600 XT Ténéré YAMAHA

XT 600 TENERE
At the end of 2 months of catch in hand, I left for Tammanarasset. With the return on a small road
of Moroccan mountain, in a turn on the right, a motor on the left, it was my 1 st crash in 1992.
To see the account of the voyage:  Vichy-Tamanarasset

I had broken some chest bones and Ténéré in wreck...

Même pas mal !

Hardly given on foot I started the restoration of the wreck of one 360 XS YAMAHA bought
a bread mouthful. This Yam was very amusing to control and I ran much with it.

Chat alors ! 360 XS 360 XS
Engine with end of breath the XS was resold for piéces in 1996...

I have acquire of the R 100 GS in 1999 and I rolled 30.000 km before my 2 nd crash at
NC 01

La belle et la bêteR100 GS

It is a motor bike easy, comfortable, amusing, atypical, full with feelings and easy to maintain.
After the long catch in hand of the trail flat-twin, more than one biker was surprised by his effectiveness.
